Over the next 2 weeks Smack My Beats Up! on www.nsbradio.co.uk will have interviews & mixes with Major Break headliners NAPT, Black Noise, & Peo de Pitte to whet your appetite for the event at Villa.
That’s right, this coming week on NSB Radio Jon Gifford speaks with Peo de Pitte and the boys from NAPT about their success over the recent years and their up coming tour of Australia. This week we’ll also be playing new mix from Peo, packed with loads of pre-release goodness, with mixes from NAPT and Black Noise the week after… what better way to get a taste of what’s to come than to hear it first on NSB!
NAPT, aka Ashley Pope and Tomek Naden, are a multi-award winning British electronic dance music production and DJ duo whose popularity has rocketed in the last 2 years. Their self coined N-Funk sound is a heady concoction of breakbeat, electro and house spawned from the UK underground and informed by a keen ear for the tasteful end of the commercial spectrum.
Peo de Pitte
Peo De Pitte hails from the city of Stockholm, Sweden. After moving to London Peo has also been running his very own label FlatOut Records, the main home for releases of his two aliases Peo de Pitte and Haggstrom. His trademark combination of rare groove beats and cutting edge synth action has resulted in making Peo one of the most exciting new producers to emerge. With remixes and releases on labels including Fingerlickin’, Global Underground, LOT49, U&A, Defected, Frenetic and Champion Records it is no surprise that he has won huge support worldwide.
As Aquasky this UK three-piece were (and still are) one of breaks hardest hitters that also released some D&B classics. Now they are reinvented as mutant house rockers Black Noise with massive success smashing out bangers such as Me Plus You and Jackin’ My Fresh. Signed to Fatboy Slim’s Southern Fried label, Black Noise will drop an album later in the year on Norman Cook’s imprint. If any of you have seen Aquasky, you know Black Noise will bring the party when they hit Major Break… but catch them first on Smack My Beats Up!
